8/29/17 Hurricane Harvey
Thank you to everyone doing what they can for the victims of hurricane Harvey. A
special big thanks to the people risking their lives rescuing, assisting, feeding,
sheltering people. To me this is what America is about. People helping people in
need.
To the few that take advantage of the situation for personal gain, please look in the
mirror, look at your family, how would you feel if you were the victim. Wake up and
do the right thing!

Racism in America
As far as we thought we progressed, last week was a reminder of how little we have
progressed. There is NO excuse for not condemning racists, their prejudices and
hate. I am the first person to acknowledge freedom of speech and rights of these
groups to peaceful assembly. Those rights also guarantee MY RIGHT to protest in
opposition and condemn their message.
White males oppressed, what a crock of SH…. that is.
To go out of your way to blame both sides, not condemn hate groups, and yes
before you had all the facts, is irresponsible at best. Maybe you need to watch more
news before you go out and make a statement. Your response was not acceptable.
Your message was not; although our constitution guarantees freedom of speech,
we condemn the message of these Hate groups.
Your first words showed your true nature, not the second scripted statement. You
are more concerned with yourself than the American people. Stop the left right
rhetoric.
Both sides did not ram their car into the crowd.
I do not except violence on any side, and will continue to protest racism and hate
groups. America has a history of fighting hate, while also ignoring our own. Time to
fight for all Americans and stop legitimizing groups that go against what America
and Americans stand for.
Mr. Trump you have crossed a line, time to step up and be president for all
Americans or if you will not, step aside and let the American people work together
to solve the complicated issues facing us today and for the future. You continue to
feed the divide in this country while never once trying to bring us together. We
need continued discussions on racism, on the inequalities in our society, financial
divides, religious freedoms, and all that make us a diverse and unique country.
Not left, right propaganda!

Independence Day
Let’s take time to remember what this day is all about. Freedom, Rights, and
Democracy. Our founders of this great land fought to provide the people a better
way. The people would have a voice in their government, freeing them from an
ELITIST rule, feudal lords whose wealth, greed and power grew from the sweat and
blood of common people. It started with independence, then they crafted a
constitution. The People would control the government, government would regulate
business, and business would work for the people. Everyone would contribute and
share equally.
What went wrong!
Democracy cannot exist without a middle class. The middle class cannot exist
without Democracy. From 1940-1980 we had a strong middle class, in turn a strong
democracy.
When corporations and the elite become more important than the people, power and
greed becomes destructive and disproportionate. The middle class becomes weaker
and almost non-existent. Democracy becomes non-existent.
Trump did not start this, he’s just doing it on steroids without any conscience. The
last 5 administrations have all contributed to the decline of the middle class. When
you favor big business over the people and claim it’s the ‘FREE’ market system and
we will all benefit, it’s a lie. There’s no freedom in it. Wealth and Power gets
redistributed to only a few.
“It does not take a majority to prevail. But rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on
setting brushfire of freedom in the minds of men” (and women) -Samuel Adams.
Independence Day is all about We the People.
Have a wonderful day
